Several hundred meters from the square, an exhibition of firefighting equipment of all kinds was opened in 1997, from small portable water pumps to large hand-operated or steam-powered fire engines.

Across the Lusatian Neisse river is a self-service wooden cabin pedestrian bridge (gondola bridge) below Hamrštejn Castle, in close proximity to the parallel railway bridge.

Kryštofovo údolí is a picturesque nearby village with approximately 366 inhabitants. It offers attractions such as the first Czech village astronomical clock, a museum of folk nativity scenes, the Church of St. Christopher, a large number of preserved wooden buildings, a railway stone viaduct, and much more.

An entertainment complex in the center of Liberec, covering an area of 30,000 m². The center includes an aquapark with a laser show, a lunapark (amusement park), an XD Theater, virtual reality, indoor adventure golf, a golf simulator, bowling, laser tag, and much more.

With a prominence of 517 meters, it is the 11th highest mountain in the Czech Republic. At the summit is the famous television transmitter. A hotel and restaurant are located in the lower part of the transmitter. Cable cars lead to Ještěd, and there is a ski resort on its slopes. The ski resort on Ještěd is situated at an altitude of 540–1000 m.

In nearby Liberec stands the oldest botanical garden in the Czech Republic. Its main domain is its collections of tropical plants.

Liberec also hosts the oldest zoo in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Its 13-hectare area houses more than 170 animal species.
